Six-course Khmer cuisine for a good cause

Fine-dining establishment Aniba in Singapore has partnered with Cambodian non-profit organisation (NGO) Smiling Gecko and Chef Mariya Un Noun to present a six-course dining adventure highlighting Khmer cuisine. Smiling Gecko’s mission is to provide education and vocational training for underprivileged children and young adults in rural Cambodia. Part of the proceeds from this collaboration will go to Smiling Gecko, as it funds activities within its 150-hectare farm and campus north of Phnom Penh.
Ably supported by Aniba’s executive chef Anas Shami, chef Mariya designed an unforgettable menu promising a gastronomic experience for guests. The six-course menu was curated around the core theme of expressing oneself. Chef Mariya’s culinary craft is grounded in the authentic flavours of Khmer cuisine, interpreted through modern cooking techniques. With Aniba – whose cuisine transports diners to the Middle East, Chef Mariya has crafted an ingenious menu featuring distinctive dishes that underscore multi-layered flavours for discerning taste buds.
The dinner will be presented on the 21st and 22nd of January and hosted by Dr Hannes Schmid, an internationally renowned Swiss photographer and founder of Smiling Gecko. Diners can book their reservation with Aniba.
